Challenge

As part of the launch, Snekkies required a robust minting solution capable of handling high user demand while maintaining a smooth experience.

With one of the most anticipated launches in the NFT space in 2024, Snekkies needed a platform that was easy to implement while still being capable of high demand. Snekkies needed a Whitelabel solution to keep the focus on their brand.

Additionally, the team needed some extra functions to cover all their needs for the mint:

• Capability to mint 100 NFTs for the team wallet ahead of launch
• Multiple whitelist sale conditions for multiple phases
• Limited Mints per address, depending on the whitelist amounts

Solution

Snekkies chose to work with one of our partners, Tavern Forge. The Tavern Forge team then used the NMKR API in combination with NMKR Studio for their mint to leverage the best functionalities from both the NMKR API and NMKR Studio: efficiency, speed, adaptability and the ability to have a fully custom front end and customer journey.

Thanks to NMKR Studio's low- and no-code functionalities, working with the NMKR API becomes even easier, as much of the project setup can be handled directly in NMKR Studio.

Implementation Process

API Integration & customer journey

Tavern Forge built the general website and, therefore, the customer journey. They used the following API calls to integrate the collection (previously created in NMKR Studio) with the website using the NMKR API:

• Wallet connect: Customer connects wallet.
• NFT amount selection: The customer chooses the number of NFTs he wants to mint.
• Sale Condition Check: Use 'v2/CheckIfSaleConditionsMet' to verify eligibility based on preset conditions.

• Payment Address Generation: Use 'v2/GetPaymentAddressForRandomNftSale' to get a unique Cardano address and payment amount.
• Payment: Customer signs the transaction with their wallet and pays for the NFTs.
• Payment and Mint Status: Use 'v2/CheckAddress' to poll the payment and mint status until completion.
• NFT Reveal: The platform shows the minted Snekkies to the Customer.
• Mint: The NFT is minted and sent to the customer via NMKR.

Results

Together with our NMKR partner Tavern Forge and the use of NMKR Studio and the NMKR API, Snekkies was able to set up the collection and connect the API to their website within just a few days.

Hosting the mint through NMKR resulted in an extremely smooth and still fun experience for everyone who participated in the Snekkies Mint. Even at the peak of the mint, where about 1,000 NFTs got bought and minted within a few minutes, everything stayed very smooth.

To be exact, within the first 5 minutes of the mint, the NMKR API received over 100 API calls, which were processed within max. 30 seconds each. These API calls resulted in over 450 mints, which were on-chain in less than 2 minutes after the TX was on-chain.

Snekkies managed to mint out their collection within the first Whitelist phase and generated over 1,200,000 ADA in revenue.
